POLITICAL ACTIVITIES
I was mentally shocked and my conscious shook, when Pakistani and Afghan terrorists attacked our brothers (Shia Muslims) by using the name of religion (Jehad) in 1988 during General Zia-Ul-Haq regime, otherwise I was sympathiser and worker of Pakistani parties like Tehrik-e-Istiqlal. I was supporter of Ninaz-e-Mustafa against Zulfiqar ali Bhutto in 1977.

NATIONALISM
ESTABLISHMENT OF BNF After extensive deliberations, Balawaristan National Front (BNF) was formed on July 30, 1992 under the leadership of Nawaz Khan Naji. Abdul Hamid Khan, Mohammad Rafiq, Shujaat Ali and Engineer Akbar Jan were active members in its establishment. The newly born national party worked boldly and presented the manifesto of a sovereign and independent Republic of Balawaristan comprising 3 provinces and clarified the people of this region for the first time that they were disputed and slave and were deprived of all rights as a human being. Pakistan was usurper and its occupation was not legal according to international or any other law and principle.
BNF gathered all political, religious and national parties of this land at a platform against the Pakistan government on April 9, 1993. During these days situation in Gilgit was tense. People from both sects were killing each other on the instigation of Pakistan. Military Posts had been established in every nook and corner of Gilgit. Troops and police personnel equipped with machine guns were patrolling, but we brought the extremists of both sides to the negotiating table. At the first meeting, announcement of formation of an alliance known as Muttahida Mahaz was made unanimously.
The meeting unanimously condemned and deplored the system setup by Pakistani occupants and chalked out a protest program till the achievement of rights and freedom. An ultimatum for March 23,1994 was given to the occupants and a protest meeting was held on March 24, which was foiled by the Pakistani forces. In April a public gathering was held in Shahi polo ground Gilgit, as a result the Pakistan government having got disturbed and announced another so - called package. BNF declared it as cheating at the movement but the innocent people realized later.
First time in the history of Balawaristan (Pakistan Occupied Gilgit Baltistan), we revealed to the 2 million people of this land, that Gilgit Baltistan is a disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir and not legally and constitutionally part of Pakistan. We demanded of the freedom to this part of the world. We don’t want to become a part of Pakistan by religion or any reason. We condemned the religion and sectarian game against our people by Pakistan and it’s intelligence agencies usually and particularly the ISI. We organize all the political parties and demanded our own government by many public gathering and seminars in Gilgit and different part of Balawaristan. On 14th August 1997, BNF along with Karakorum National Moment (KNM) observed Black Jubilee, as a result me and many of our colleagues were arrested, tortured and sent to Jail by framing sedition charges.

ELECTIONS
I took part in elections of Northern Areas Council in 1992 from Yasen / Gupis constituency, but could not win.
Again I took part in elections of the same council in 1995.

EXILE
I was compelled to flee Balawaristan (Pakistan Occupied Gilgit Baltistan) and fled Pakistan in May 1999, when ISI threatened to my life, because of my letter to UNO and UNSC Members on 4th Oct 1998 about ISI and Talibaan intrigue to invade Balawaristan and then Jammu and Kashmir by converting the Shia and Ismailia population OR by killing them to occupy the whole Jammu and Kashmir.

LITERATURE
1. I published a magazine a Title BALAWARISTAN TIMES, in which the detail survey of the Resources and corruption of the Pakistani occupied regimes was discussed. It was banned and all the copies were seized from the market.
2. Pakistani regime also banned my Urdu book Title BALAWARISTAN KA MOOQADIMA (The case of Balawaristan).
3. Pakistani occupying regime also banned my English and Urdu books Title BALAWARISTAN KA MOQADIMAH (URDU) AND "THE LAST COLONY of 21st CENTURY" which was published on 1st Nov 2001 from Gowalmandi, Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
4. Pakistan Occupying regime has also imposed ban on our website Title www.balawaristan.net . ISI agents strictly monitor physically all the internet café and offices in Gilgit Baltistan to ensure, that the restriction on website is implemented.

ISI INTERFARANCE

It’s really a shock for the Chairman of Balawaristan National Front (BNF) Abdul Hamid Khan as well as for the whole party and nationalists of the region, that a nationalist leader and founder of BNF was compelled to surrender his ideology by the dreaded ISI. Mr. Hamid is facing sedition charges of section 124 A, which carries life imprisonment in the Kangaroo Court of Gilgit, where a political opponent (Mr. Jalal Ud- Din) of Hamid has been given the contract of the Chief Court by the KANA Division of Islamabad on the recommendation of ISI. It means that all the political opponents of Pakistani occupying regime including Abdul Hamid Khan will be awarded life sentence and other harsh punishment to harass the people of Balawaristan.
