Sher Ullah Baig,50, from Ayeen Abad, Gojal Hunza and his 22 year old son was killed along with his 22 year old son, Sher Afzal, when police opened fire on a peaceful demonstration in Aliabad, Hunza. Enraged public torch Aliabad Police Station, 3 government vehicles and DC camp office. Aliabad/Karimabad, August 11: Enraged public have gone on an unparalleled rampage in Hunza Valley, torching important public buildings, including Aliabad Police Station, a vehicle near the Aliabad Civil Court, and camp office of Deputy Commissioner Hunza – Nagar. The protesters are reportedly marching towards Garelth, where office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) is located, but no damage was caused after resistance by the local people. Two police mobiles and a vehicle of PWD have also been torched. The violent protests started in retaliation to a brutal incident in involving policemen who opened fire on a group of protesters, killing one Sherullah Baig who was retired from Pakistan Army and critically injuring 6 others. Later a 22 year old student and son of Shairullah Baig also died in Gilgit hospital due to bullet injury in his chest. Three of the injured have been shifted to Gilgit for medical treatment and 3 are being treated in Hunza Aliabad Hospital. A senior leader of PPP Gilgit – Baltistan, Manzoor Hussain (aka Manzoor Bagoro), who has recently resigned from the government after developing differences with GB Chief Minister, has condemned the incident and said that instigation of violence in Hunza Valley is part of a “deep conspiracy”. He has demanded immediate action against all involved in the conspiracy. This was the salution for stooge Mehdi Shah who had the plan to visit Hunza today. The crime of these people was the demand for equql rights and help to the Attabad effected people without discrimination. In spite of prividing them aid and compensation they were brutally killed like the manner in Chilas, the occupation regime of Pakistan killed innocent protestors against Diamar Bhasha dam.
