| ICFPD condemns terrorist attack in Mombai |

Mumtaz Khan Executive Director of International Center for Peace & Democracy-ICFPD has condemned the terrorist attack in Mumbai and extended the condolences to the victims’ families while expressed solidarity with Indian government over the loss of lives of innocent people. Mr. Khan said that attack was cowardice act committed by the terrorists against the innocent people but such attacks have further strengthened the resolve of world community to fight against the scourge of terrorism that dominates in this region and posing serious challenges to stability and security. The South Asian region has become highly vulnerable due to the threat of terrorism present in the region especially originating from Pakistan where security forces unwillingness to dismantle their infrastructure benefits these organization. Such attacks clearly directed to derail the peace process and dialogues two governments had tried to resume after 26/11. While attack further seem to be directed to create communal disharmony within India and destabilize its progress. India is communally sensitive country, which some elements trying to take advantage and hoping Indian authorities would be able to bring terrorists to the justice. ICFPD condemns terrorism in its all forms and manifestation irrespective what terrorists claim.
