BNF wins hearts and minds of the poor - Weekly baang Karachi 30 Actober 2011 PDF Print E-mail
Latest news

GIGLIT: To serve humanity and those in need has always been a motto of rights activists and kind-hearted people all over the world and we can see this in times of tragedies and trial and tribulations when people
come forward, give a helping hand to the distressed and then go away without seeking anything in return after winning nothing else but hearts of millions.
In our Gilgit-Baltistan we have seen in the recent past some of nature's worst calamities when people were wiped out of their hearths and homes and left shivering under the open sky. However, those who
were expected to come to their rescue in these times of tragedies were nowhere to be seen. However, humanity never remains short of kind and God fearing people whenever there is a tragedy in any part of the world. During the crises that we saw in Giglit-Baltistan, we saw even poor people coming to the help of those in need and sharing whatever they had in their possession.

The Babalut village of Ghizer district was struck by lightening on
September 3 in which about eight houses and standing crops were
destroyed. The affected people, as usual, looked to government
departments and their elected representatives for help but there was
nothing. Suddenly, the volunteers of Balwaristan National Front
reached there with help. These were the workers of the party which was
accused of being anti-nation and other charges in the past. But when
the chips were down it was the BNF which not only sent its volunteers
to help the people in distress but also distributed Rs100000 among the
villages affected from the natural calamity.
As a result, a marked change was seen among the people and a group of
women led by an old lady Kayo Bibi announced their decision to join
the BNF. Kayo Bibi said that they had decided to join the party in
appreciation of its human service. She said that after the calamity,
they were left with nothing to eat and feed their cattle. There was no
water even for the animal what to talk of other necessities of life.
She said they approached the tehsiladar of Yasen to seek help but were
cold shouldered. She said it was only the BNF that came to their
rescue in the time of need. She said the women were very thankful to
the BNF and its chairman Abdul Hamid Khan for helping the poor.
To accuse someone of treason or any other such allegation is highly
condemnable and it is just to create confusion and this has always
been sued by the rulers to create mistrust against their rivals.
The BNF is a party which ahs always been accused of such wild
allegation. No person who has love for the soil in which he was born
can ever think of betraying his motherland. The patriotism of the BNF
has been proved through years of trial and tribulations. Its top
tanking leadership is forced to live in exile but even then he
continues to fight for the rights of the masses of the region at the
international level. Not only is that he also working to provide
relief to the countrymen whatever is possible under the current
circumstances. It is the sincerity and good faith of the BNF that
slowly but gradually the masses are recognizing its efforts in the
field of politics as well as social service. It is our motto to win
the hearts and minds of the masses not through slogans and shenanigans
