A large number of people in Rondu welcomed Chairman Gilgit-Baltistan United Movement (GBUM) Manzoor Hussain Parwana when he arrived there after his release from the central jail Gilgit.
People from all walks of life including nationalist leaders from other areas of the region garlanded Parwana. Rose petals were showered on his motorcade as it passed through the streets of the town. The GBUM leader addressed public gatherings at two points and said his arrest and honorable release was a victory for the entire people of Gilgit-Baltistan. He said he was put behind bars for raising voice for the rights of the masses and against the injustices of the rulers.
